Will V5 6000 be beaten i length?

Ati, Nvidia and some other small companies is what dominates what we see on the graphics market today. Of course some guys like use still uses 3dfx cards to some extent.

What 3dfx always could have a trophy for would be for the longest gaming card soo far. The Voodoo 5 6000.

But it may be beaten now. But what you think?

By a raytracing bastard I say. Its a real beuty and for everyone not familiar with raytracing its the rendering method used for the most photorealistic images. Now they are trying to make us able to do soo in real time. Amazing.

Yes, but the differene now is that the Revenge has a real card and that the revenge is a own design and not some weird thing taken from 3dfx.

The Quantum3D Obsidian 100SB is still longer than the V5 6000.

I don't think we will see cards longer than "full length"  Grin   (for example the CGA card from the original PC, I have it and it's HUGE)
bigger-than-full length wouldn't fit in most AT and ATX cases

Well - that sounds true...

But the point I meant was that this was a voodoolike project. It is based on PCI and you can in theory has as many cpus/gpus/fpus or what he called it as you want. A card with four would defnitely kick ass and look like a V5 6. The only probleme - convince anyone to use OpenRL in their games...
