It's a bit embarrassing, but I've never actually read up on the Mac configurations. I know the 540 is a non 3dfx Cirrus Logic 2D board, with the original Voodoo as an 3D overdrive piggy-back board.
What are the Pablo & MacPaloma Plus? I gather the MacPaloma is a TV-Tuner? What's the Pablo? MPEG acceleration chip?
Must be pretty rare then Gino? It does look very very awesome indeed.
Well there's no shame in that. We learn things as we go along depending on individual interests.
Regarding the Mac cards I think exxe has a very nice overview on his web-page about them.
Also on the internet you can find some nice reviews like these one:
http://legacy.macnn.com/thereview/reviews/macpicasso540/macpicasso540.shtml
http://legacy.macnn.com/thereview/reviews/3doverdrive/3doverdrive.shtml
These additional modules Pablo and are somewhat rare but for me these even more hard to find given the fact I wasn't even looking for them locally but I did with help from another collector friend of mine.
I collect these VillageTonic cards because they really stand out as pcb layout and colors from other 3dfx cards but as stated before I'd like to find out for myself how they perform.
Great photos from exxe as always.

I'm tested a year ago the Pentium Overdrive Cpu(66MHz) with Voodoo 1 card. The Need for Speed 2 SE.
The game unplayable. 5-12 fps.
And test with Pentium 60.
The game playable!! Not move the fps <25.
The Pentium very large hop by 486 or overdrive architechture.

Lol a FX Slot one board. Very few of those were produced and fewer still that still survive as they were mainly limited to the socket 8 Pentium Pro. Interesting thing is that there is another FX Intel chipset that was for the socket5/7 era boards. I am curious as to why people don't spot this? Still wanting that DDR socket370/slot1/slot2 supported board by MICRON/Samsung I think.

very nice pictures exxe
Mine are not as nice but the subject I find interesting a Hercules Rush OEM box sealed and an example of the card that is supposed to be inside.
Now I have a classic question for you guys:
Should I or shouldn't I open the sealed package to take a peak inside?

For me personally, I've openend a few rare boxes. It's the age old, "what should I do with my vintage Ferrari", should I put it in a museum and only look at it, or actually use it?
Yes it's going to decrease in value, but then again, you won't have any fun out of it. If you actually know what is in it, and other people have pictures of it already, you might decide to leave it sealed.
Most likely it will just be the card and a driver CD, packed in some foam. I don't think OEM boxes usually come with much or any documentation.

Thank you for the advice TIM.
Well for me this item isn't very interesting in sealed form as there isn't much too look at, as it's just a white box with a sticker. I still have a retail sealed Hercules Rush that I will keep intact as the box looks nice but I'm tempted to open up the OEM one as I'm curious about the exact accessories and I haven't seen one like it opened before so I hope it will be something nice inside
