the Graphics card for my new system
"only" a HD2600XT 512MB
Suppose to be very good for High Def decoding if I remember right.

When recetly buying a new complete pc I ended up being seriously disappointed,
even felt betrayed for the poor support Creative nowdays gives for their X-Fi series to ALSA (linux audio libraries) developers,
rendering my costy xfi extreme music in part unusable (which I readily returned for refund at my shop
).
But rejoyce, got this baby today.
Audiotrak Prodigy 7.1 Hi-Fi (99eur) with a Via Envy 24 HT chipset.

It's a shame how some manufacturers threat their customers (same with ati). Cause I haven't enough space for a PCI soundcard besides the Crossfire pair I've chosen the PCI-E X-Fi one. I knew that this isn't really a proper X-Fi (depended on the Chipset which actually is kind of based on the Audigy2) but since the last automatically driver update, I'm not able to record from the "What you hear" source including Everything that's not played "from outside the computer"

Looks like an MSI NX8500GT - I can identify the writing "V096" on the top end of the card, and if you google for MSI V096 the NX8500 comes up.

Cool! Shame they don't do that on all GFX cards...
...maybe even an adaptor that converts VGA -> SCART.
(would be cheaper anyhow!)
