I have tried the original install disk,
and numerous drivers. (including voodoo3-10700.zip)
WIN98 (latest patches to Sep 2003)

If I run install manually it complains about not finding NEWDEV.dll.

I pulled a copy of this from internet and then it complains about NTDLL.DLL (which complains about not being compatible)

Any ideas what I am missing?
I did not see the file on this site.

Gave up >:(
and re-installed WIN98 from scratch (format HD).
Ran original install disk. It worked.
(also worked on clean install of XP.)

Appears to be an issue if there is another video card driver installed. Was unable to to put it back to std video input device. (as recommended in some threads I found on the internet.)

Problems I had before clean install:
- Run setup (message: ran out of files)
- Run install (message: can't find newdev.dll)

Yes the 'no more files' message, I have seen. Not sure what cause is that. I remember repsoducing the error once but can't remember how.

The 'newdev.dll' problem is simply cause by running '/driver9x/install.exe', theWin2k/WinME setup program on Win95/98/98SE. It's no more complicated than that. If you see this error you simply run '/driver9x/setup.exe', restart, and everything is usually fine. ;)
