Anyone knows how to change the d3d device of a game to a opengl device driver?

Hm, there used to be so called Wrappers, that allowed to intercept and re-route Commands from one API to another.
However, most work was done to Glide Wrappers, and not in the field OpenGL > Direct3D or vice versa. There still is a development Alpha for an Direct3D > OpenGL Wrapper, but it was not suitable for real-life use yet, when I saw it last time. (is still linked with the Project HomePage somewhere on voodoofiles.com I believe) |

A thing to remember: Voodoo is not fully Opengl 1.1 even compatible. Even if the wrapper would work perfectly, the game would still be unable to run, since the Voodoo card itself don't fully support neither DX8, nor OpenGL.
These wrappers had a chance to work only if the final rendering platform used to emulate (DX for Glide games, OpenGL for DX games), is fully supported. Even then, the wrapper might not implement everything needed to translate the calls from the emulated platform, to the real one... |

I know, I only wanted to try it and with no success. Anyway, the wrapper supports the 90% of directx 8 so no luck :-/
