I'm surprised I didn't find this card using the search function on this forum.
So... I remembered I've read in a pc game magazine, back in 2000, about this video card. At the given time all they wrote was minimalistic... because they didn't know anything about it i presume.
It was something like this: "The well-known company Quantum 3D is ready to rock the pc game world with an outstanding creation that can trash nVidia bla-bla-bla etc. Think about it: if the last Obsidian board had 128 Megs of memory and top performance, who might know how many megs this card will yeild and how much it will cost ?".
Quoted from Level magazine.

My question is: How come I didn't find "alchemy" on this 3dfx board ?
Were there only prototypes created ? And if so, were there fewer than the Rampage prototypes ?

Tanks.

Try AAlchemy instead, 2 A's

Quantum3D made them for military & flight simulators only, there was no plans to release them to the gaming public. The only way to get one was to purchase a $15,000-$30,000 system.

I see now.
So practically, Level probably found a picture of the card on the internet, saw it was based on VSA100s and thought that it would be end-user consumable...

Anyway, it looks pixelicious  Shocked
