Why the lower clock speed?
18.12.05 at 02:58:08

I pick up a V3_2K board on eBay, it's a Voodoo3 2000. I owned one of these before (haven't we all) but this one is clocked at 125MHz ???

I have the latest reference drivers on Win98SE and installed the V3 O.C. utillity. It's now running at 143MHz. I have the Q3 demo running in a continuious loop and it's been running fine now for about 15 minutes. Prior to the O.C. I Quaked it for an hour, no lock-ups.

The BIOS reads as a V3 2000 2.15.07.

Is this correct?  ???

Why does it run @ 125MHz Default

First thing that comes to mind is that the previous owner might have flashed the wrong bios.

Possible but the only 125 mhz V3 I know of is an SGRAM not SDRAM board.

On the Video BIOS screen it states 2.15.07 Voodoo3 2000

If you look at the pic in the auction you can see a square white sticker that says "CE" in big letters and under that it says 1.0(125)

At the top of the card above the memory is says:

(C) 1999 STB SYSTEMS INC.

Near the back of the AGP tab there is a white 3 inside a white square box.

Backside:

P/N 210-0364-003

Serial Number 0860001A000000000000099D8YA7

Near the back plate:

Ti3 (stencilled)
TW-5 RU   (The "R" is backwards)
94V-0 2399    (year 99 month 23??)

BIOS chip

ATMEL
AT49BV512
12JC
9932

Memory Chips

SEC KOREA 934
KM416S1120DT-G7

And the Card does have the new 3dfx Logo on the back.

The card ran fine for over an hour on the Quake3 Demo loop test Clocked @ 143MHz.

Mine doesn't look like that. It looks like a standard V3 2K, Heatsink, Memory, everything..
