Alot of finetuning is still to be done, but first priority was to finally get things going.

The old Forum will remain active for several weeks to have a fall-back Option in case severe Problems are encountered.

Feel free to play around with all those new Options and Features :)

Reminder :

Every User can select between Forum Styles in their Preferences (Profile).

Currently only two Styles exist, but adding more should be only a question of time :)

well i ws over the limit by 10 on messeges and when i deleted some to be under i just kept getting a messege i used to be over but it wouldnt let me in forum till i deleted every messege, darnit, otherwise all is good, i like this look.

I've tweaked the Layout a little bit so the new Style does not use more space than the old Style anymore.

Well, my list (and I think not just mine ;) ) has more than 7500 characters so everything below the Voodoo Graphics gets chopped off if I want to modify it. I didn't save the modified version yet so it's still complete in the thread.

At www.falconfly-central.de you will be directed to the old forum after 5 seconds...

I dont know why, but I always am nostalgic about the things I get used to. I got used to old, plain and simple forum, and this one looks too... well... colorful  :-?

But I guess an upgrade was needed... The old one had a few glitches. In a forum, people are important not the looks ;-) And here we have good people  ;)

Yeah, as soon as there's an oldschool Style available, I'll implement it.

I also like things simple and compact, the existing Style is already modified to better meet those requirements.

There was an option "show latest posts" or "new messages" or similar in the old forum - one click and you see all the new stuff. Very handy if browsing a not-overly active forum. Can you please put that link in this one as well?

Small comment.

When placing a new thread/reply or modifying a post:
The textarea is just too small!

You should increase it's width by 25% and it's height by 100%. :)

The old Forum had a 49x13 Reply Window (637 Chars),
the new Forum has a 62x10 Reply Window (620 Chars).

IMHO good enough, and modifying the Reply Windows would mean a massive dig into the Board Code (= not gonna happen)

From an optical and overview standpoint, it would look nicer though, agreed :)

Not sure if it will change alot, but there's still an Board Update Install pending. Maybe it'll take care of some of these points (so far, I didn't have the time to install)

That's still pending a Patch I need to install, solves a few Bugs (anytime I looked at the Forum in the evening, there was activity, so I refrained from 'kicking' those Members for Maintenance ;) )

Geez, I don't remember seeing this thread....but since I found it....I like the new forum.  Much brighter in look and overall "feel", but not overly so as to be too bright.  Haven't gotten around to trying out the different options really yet, but i will have to give them a try.
