Hitman 2 doesn't work for me

hello, i recently installed Hitman 2, and it doesn't work.
First i got this msg: "Fatal error - Direct3D: Unable to create device. Try changing resolution or color depth".

i 'googled it' and i found this page and did everything on it, and now i don't get this msg but a black screen that stuck my pc.

my pc specs are:
PIII 500MHZ
128 RAM
Voodoo Banshee (i think creative blaster banshee)
and windows 98se.

go here and pick Hitman 2 Silent Assassin.note: the fix was meant for voodoo2/3,it may,or may not work on a banshee..you may need to disable eax in hitman2.ini if you have an eax capable card (add the line: Eaxdisable).

edit: got the files for you in one neat pack.backup your hitman2.ini,extract this archive to your hitman 2 folder and execute run.bat-in optimal case,this should get you running..

edit run.bat with notepad or something similar and make sure it looks like this:

set FX_GLIDE_NO_SPLASH=1
set MESA_FX_MAXLOD=10
Hitman2.Exe

exit the file,choose yes to save changes,and the spinning logo will be gone.

as for optimizations,maybe you should check if your chipset/banshee drivers are the most recent..if you mean optimal settings for hitman2,I think your pc is just enough to handle the game with everything at "low"..
