Another 3dfx identifing thread....
10.11.05 at 00:52:59

All I know is that it's a 3dfx Tuner card. Tongue My guess is it could be a Voodoo TV 100/200 or Desktop TV but the weird thing is I own both and they kinda look alike but not quite... ???

Any idea's?

56K WARNING!

Pictures are over 2mb in size at 2560x1920 resolution.

edit: very odd... it looks like a Voodoo TV 200 but it doesn't have the ram chip on the bottom right like a Voodoo TV 200 would. WTF!!?? ??? It's not a Voodoo TV 100 aswell as the PCB design is different.

thx for these big pics...no need to make such big pics...

looks like a VoodooTV 200 (Lite Version)
some connectors, chips & SMDs are missing...

Rev.A0...seems to be a prototype of the voodootv 200 but the "not for resale" stickers are missing...

Looks like a prototype for sure, nice catch!

Not a production board that is for sure.

Oh a prototype of the TV 200. Grin That explains a lot. Wink No wonder I couldn't find any information on google or the people I've asked.

I got the card on eBay about a year or so back for about $8. I really didn't think much of it at the time since I was buying so much 3dfx stuff back then and simply put it in my closet for storage until just a few days ago.

I'm going to test the card on my Epox 8k3a+ and see if I'm able to get it working with some TV 200 drivers. I hope it works! Wink

p.s sorry about the pics I'll resize them soon. Smiley

well it does look alot like the VoodooTV 200, if you compare it's out puts and so on and also the chip layout:

Click Thumbnails to Enlarge!

here your 3dfx VoodooTV 200 PCI Rev.A0 1200 Front:
...

and here the back view:
...

there we go and here the layout of the 3dfx VoodooTV 200 PCI :
...

here a VoodooTV 200 PCI with box and Aluminium Cap above it's TV-Tuner chip:
...

@ Mavrick

Your card is from week 12 year 2000 and it's an A0 Revision Wink

Though i'm not so sure it's a prototype, there are no "NOT FOR RESALE" Stickers and no Engineer's Tag attached to it.
So there fore it maybe an old model with the old cap covering the TV-Tuner chip.
