Hello and welcome to FalconFly-Central.de The_Crimson! and I hope you will enjoy your stay!Smiley

Voodoo's run fine under XP lol, they have been do'n that since a while.

what type of card do you have btw?

if it's a Voodoo3 take these drivers, they really rock:

SFFT Alpha 32:

well my last post could give you an idea what type Voodoo3 you have, if you can tell me which one of them it is, I thought it would be easier for you hehe Wink

because there are many type of 16MB versions of the Voodoo3, I named the most common Voodoo3 cards though so it shouldn't be hard to see which one you have for now.
the 3500's use different drivers there for it's important to know what model you have.

install the Voodoo3 manually.

First go to Settings then Control Pannel --> System --> Hardware --> Device Manager --> VGA adapters after that right click Voodoo series --> go to Driver menu tab then update driver

Install the new drivers manually!

{I know The _Crimson I did send you this as PM but this is this was my most simple explanation on how to install the drivers manually, I hope you understand hehe]

if this isn't clear enough maybe somebode else could explain it better, explaining how to do things is rather my handycap. maybe there might be others that could be more speciffic on what to say.

Download Everest Home Edition and install it:
http://www.lavalys.com/products/download.php?pid=1&lang=en

Then start the program. On the left you'll see a list of items. Click on the '+' before 'Display'. Now click on 'GPU'.

Now you should see enough info to tell us whether you have a Voodoo 3 2000 or a Voodoo 3 3000.

A Voodoo 3 2000 runs at 143MHz, a 3000 at 166MHz (You can find your value next to 'GPU Clock').

Voodoo3 1000 8MB @ 143Mhz 1 TMU
Voodoo3 1000 16MB @ 125Mhz 2 TMU's
Voodoo3 3500TV AGP 16MB @ 183Mhz
Voodoo3 3500 AGP 16MB + TV-Out @ 183Mhz

the other PCI version types refer to the speed of thier AGP models, but Did you manage to install the driver manually? or was my explanantion not clear enough if it wasn't clear don't worry there are others better at explaining than me sometimes hehe norries lad Smiley

well that's settled  hehe this is your card then:

3dfx Voodoo3 3000 PCI SDRAM 16MB
...

aha wait a sec

the driver is a zip file:

SFFT-V3-Alpha32.zip
http://www.traumatic.de/pphlogger/dlcount.php?id=FalconFly&url=http://www.falcon...

so you will have to unpack it to a new folder, example :

on your desktop create a new folder by pressing CRT: + F then rename the new folder by right clicking it, then rename and rename it to Alpha32

then extract [unzip] the the file to that folder
after this you can install the driver with the install.exe

double click the install.exe and follow the instuctions, mostly after installing the driver you have to reboot Wink

well Ik know that that was as an example of a Voodoo3  hehe I couldn't know you had that model .... but nevermind that we know you have the 3dfx Voodoo3 3000 PCI with 16MB SDRAM.
