How was life @ 3dfx it's self?

Hello all Smiley

the past few days I have wondered on how life it's self was @ 3dfx Interactive, like the who was the flag man, the bloke that get's the flags  cleans them and hang's them up again, how was it in the catering section, are there any serve plates left over from 3dfx Interactive's cantine like plates, serving trays, or even some spoons or so?

and was there also a place for visitors or so?

Anywahs Maybe Hank would like to giva an idea what it was like hehe, are there also some indoor shots of the Company we all loved?

I thought that this would be nice to discuss someday Smiley

Over all it was way fun.

Get to work and first thing is to make cappuccino with 4 shots, we would call it quad damage  Grin.

Systems group was a blast. We were a loud bunch, fight all the time over designs. All was in good fun. People would poop up over their cubicles and see what all the commotion is all about Tongue. I think we gave our boss a few gray hairs.

VooDoo lounge was excellent, our families loved it. We, from systems, would show up on the weekend and set a movie on the projector. Bar for the adults in the back and big popcorn cart were in the back of the VooDoo lounge.

Arcade room was well equipped. We had 3 San Francisco Rush machines in there, my favorite.

Food was catered, if there was no time to go out. We had only 1 bad incident, the catering service took out half the San Jose office with bad ham sandwiches.

Pets were allowed at work. I remember one of the engineers always had his wiener dog with him. Taco Da Dog would be around the lab, get all excited and pee on our lab manager, Teresa did not mind  Tongue.

Well, what can I say? I miss the guys, but we still get together.

@ Hank Smiley

Ah sounds cool, so you do have a reunion with all your old work mates right? hehe well it's good to keep contact with people you know well, that's a good thing to do Smiley

Did you play cards in the lunch hours also and were there also special night like LANparties, or go bowling with the whole team or a Karaoke evening hehe can be funny Smiley

was there also a medic available if someone had a little accident @ work, I suppose there would be hehe since the Company was Huge for it's time hehe

Was there also a plan like putting money aside for like for special weekends, speacial funds like Greenpeace, The Red Cross or WWF things like that?

Did you have a pet @ your work? hehe I really can imagine you had a great time not just the work you did but just the way things went there even the people that coöperated with you and others.

and how big was the warehouse, waht was the main height of the warehouse where the pallets were stacked? how many pallets could be stored about 12.000, I ask this because I have been a reachtruck pilot for 4 years hehe and yes that job will take place this year for me as a part time job. The maximum height I worked with was putting 1250 Kilo Pallest with Deospray@ 7.4Metres height a good 22 feet witha BT RT-1350-E Reachtruck Smiley
...

Anywas sorry I asked this but I thought it would nice to talk about 3dfx Interactive it's self on what happened ther and so on hehe.

Hank was the Voodoo Lounge called the "Juke Joint"?

I had a T-shirt that said that on the front and 3dfx (old logo) on the back with "staff" over the 3dfx logo.

Was wondering if it was the real thing. Bought it off a guy in San Jose, CA

He's a link to it... http://www.falconfly-central.de/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=market;action=display...
