Interested in some Q3D passthrough/medusa cables?
23.08.11 at 18:51:01

I'm looking into having some Quantum3D passthrough cables made here in the UK, of the SB100/Obs2 PCI kind first, medusa later (or at the same time providing quality/service is any good). Seeing as these are so rare I'm sure a few would be happy to have some replicas to atleast be able to play with the cards.

Just wondering if there is any interest in them. From the initial quotes, to be honest, they aren't cheap to manufacture. What would you be willing to spend on these? Then I can have a rough figure wether it's worth it to order a slightly larger quantity, maybe a group buy.

Cheapest quote so far is :

15w High Density male + ferrite - 8 Pin Mini Din plug.
Grey cable, Grey D Type hood, Black Mini Din plug - sell @ £15.70/each (without ferrite core - £12.25/each)

This is based on a 25 piece order.

So for me to be worth it (ie. time and effort sending these out around the globe) I'd probably charge at least £17.99 per cable.

I guess no one is bothered with them, I'll order some in for myself.

As you probably know, I'm still interested in a OBS2 X24 Medusa.
