My long time dream for my collection, too much stuff going on tho.
Someday I will get mines on a wall as well, but I was thinking more about making it a shallow glass cabinet/set of cabinets
stuffing in all my cards then covering a few m2 of my wall.
The idea was also to add a filtered fan for each cabinet to ensure higher air pressure inside to avoid dust, like they do in museums.
I am a bit curious about the proper humidity to avoid oxidations and static electricity, but I cant find any sources on that (haven't looked into it enough).
Other concerns would be lighting/light protection, type of glass etc... Any ideas welcome!

I haven't put it in any system yet, it has been a display item so far. Once I get my testsystem done, I'll give it a try. (only need rounded ide/fdd cables).

I just won a Taito "Psychic Force 2012"-PCB, there is a Voodoo Graphics-chipset (6 MB) on the middle PCB as you can see here.

From Osckhar, thanks again!

I noticed it's different from the one on Gary's site, mine seems to be lacking a few capacitors and the coil. No matter though, that's the beauty of prototypes, so many differences Smiley

No, I do not own a 6000. It's on my wanted list but unless I win a big prize in a lottery or get a good deal, it won't be in my possession for a long time. Especially not while there are still many boxed 'regular' cards I do not own yet.

That's exactly how I think, but it may not be such a good thinking Sad Regular cards cand be found almost anytime, but a V5 6000 for sale is a very rare event. I think it's more the ideea of giving such big amount of money on a single card - with 2000 euro you can buy a huge collection of 3dfx cards.

Congrats NitroX
I also own one but as you can see in the link it's a bit different.

I gather that each of these cards fulfill a different stage in testing to achieve the power-load simulation of the v6k that's why have more or less components soldered on them.
Yours I think was at the first stage with no additional 12v required to function just testing that the pcb layout works.
Unique non the less.
