Quite hefty prices.

With an AthlonXP 2800+, a Radeon 9800pro and 768MB RAM, I'm still far below 1000 Euro in Germany.
(at least something that's more or less cheap in Germany *g* )

Yes prices here are quite high, but that's okay.

Anyway, why bother playing new crappy games when you can play nice old smooth sexy crispy games on a Voodoo?

Pretty minimum Spec for a 2005 style computer, and the GeForce 5200 won't run Doom3 very fast; the AthlonXP 1900+ isn't "too" bad for a start, although not stellar either.

I reckon this is a 2nd hand machine ?

The Video Card might have to be replaced with a more potent one (e.g. ATI Radeon 9800pro class) in the near future.

Anyway, if it's a really cheap buy, you could take it and upgrade the weakest components later.
If it's a "new" Retail system, something is terribly wrong, GeForce 5200 is a very low end el-cheapo solution, the XP1900+ is also quite old although still usable.

Try to get hands on something like :

AthlonXP 2500+ (higher is recommended)
ATI Radeon 9800pro

well im getting another pc in the morning should be here pretty early if theres no trouble with the coppers so ill let you peeps know what happened before i get off to court.

no luv that is the comp! its all inside the comp, not sure what mobo is in there need to check that out later. its a 266 FSB but not sure about the chipset, i need to get into it first if you no what i mean. 8)
