Hello everyone!
I'm trying to install my Voodoo3 3500 TV video card on Windows XP Professional (dutch version). I really really really want to be able to use the TV-in features of the card but don't seem to be able to. I've tried possibly all drivers I can think of and am still getting no good results...
I've been to
www.voodoofiles.com and tried every XP driver for this card (following all the weird instructions, haha)
I've been to
http://www.falconfly.de/voodoo3-3500.htm and tried the drivers + visualreality files also.
Whatever I do, the error I'm getting is very consistent:
'WebTV is not installed'.
This error is shown, both when installing VisualReality and also when starting VisualReality after install has been succesfull.
I know from my Windows 98 times, that I got the same error back then, and this problem was fixed after installing the international drivers. But unfortunately I haven't been able to find such drivers for Windows XP yet.
I have 2 questions:
- Does anyone have VisualReality running as a TV-tuner using XP?
- If so, what combination of software are you using? (Which exact version of XP do you use? What version of VR, 3dfx tools, and which driver for the voodoo3 3500TV?)
I've now been working on this for over 10 hours I guess, and am getting desperate. I've already emailed two users of
www.voodoofiles.com who said they didn't have good results also (same error as I have). One of them was using a dual boot system (Win98+XP) now, just because it didn't work under XP, and the other used a separate TV card now... Not very uplifting ....
I would be VERY gratefull for any good hints!
