Alienware Delivers the World's First Wicked3D PGC-Enabled Gaming System
On May 7, 1999, Wicked3D, a division of Megabyte, Inc., announced that Alienware was going to be the first company to license its Parallel Graphics Configuration (PGC) Technology. This allowed two 3dfx Interactive Voodoo3 2000 PCI cards to be combined in one system and delivered 55 frames per second without overclocking
well this never went to market but they modified v3's and had it running for some time, must of had a handfull of cards modified at least, they gotta be out there somewhere (not in a landfill please)

Try emailing Alienware, perhaps they can tell more about it?

Nope- And I would not hold out to much hope either that something was actually done since...
1) Alienware has a habit of of making promises of stuff being released and nothing ever comes of it.
2) It might have been looked into but with the 6 month product cycles that the graphics market was going through back them chances are the product would have been obsolete as soon as the 5500 or Geforce 2 series was released.

I found a few things on the internet to suggest they had the v3's modified and working, on one interview they said they drooped it because of the time it took to get a certain card modified and working that the next generation was already there, so i see why they dropped it but that still means there were some modified v3's out there, here is one article that some up what the were doing------>
Tweak3D?: How does your company propose to overcome the single AGP port problem for using "Stepsister" or PGC technology with two AGP cards?
Alex: Currently PGC is being offered in Voodoo3 PCI, and it is yielding frame rates in excess of 63 FPS in Q2 at 1600X1200 resolution. I really can not comment on AGP PCG . All I can really say is that PCI based PGC is quite amazing and we will be working hard to improve it even further. We also have yet another driver that will allow you the to use your AGP slot, for example: TNT2 in the agp slot and dual Voodoo3's in PCI mode.
Tweak3D: Does your company have any plans to build K7 based systems if they measure up to comparable Intel products?
Alex: We will be evaluating the K7. Based on preliminary specs it definitely looks like a product Alienware will be interested in.
Tweak3D: It is my understanding that it is your company's plan to first implement "Stepsister" or PGC technology using 2 Voodoo3 PCI 2000's. Will this configuration be able to beat the proposed Voodoo3 3500tv config?
Alex: We have not benchmarked a 3500 in a controlled enviroment but the answer would have to be yes it will beat a single 3500 board.
Tweak3D: Will the cards have to be physically modified to use the technology?
Alex: Yes the cards do require a hardware modification . Alienware will be doing the hardware modification inhouse

I think I just found a reference to this, which might be of some importance.
http://www.themeparkworld.com/mainus/main.htm
Go to 'Latest Downloads' and click on patch 2.
A pop-up window will appear and under 'Miscellaneous' it will say;
"Dual Voodoo3 cards now supported."
EDIT:
Article on Sharky Extreme:
http://www.sharkyextreme.com/hardware/articles/metabyte_pgp_update/
The technology is from Metabyte.
Read the related articles too (links at the end of the article). Apparently Metabyte had two Voodoo Banshee's running already 8)
