The motherboard I was using for my V5 got toasted. I had a copasitor or transister blow, not sure which, but either way the board doesn't work any more (had leakage on the board under the transister- almost looked like rust). I had a ECS K7S5A board that handled up to a 2600+ AMD chip (which I had it maxed at). With boards becoming encreasingly rare to use with this card, what am I looking at getting? I loved that board, granted it only handled DDR 2100 but I didn't have any issues with it until now (being about 6 years old...). Would it be worth trying to resolder a new one on the board or just get a new board out right and then what board is recommended for this and at what price? I love my V5 but can't spend alot on getting a replacement for this card. Would I be better off just getting a PCI version of the V5 and putting it into a modern mobo and putting my AGP card up on display?

Trying to find a camera so you guys can see the issue. Looking through ebay to get another one so I don't have to reload everything. If I can find the same board, I should be able to swap it out without having to reload everything (not a huge deal to begin with but.....).

Yeah, I don't know, I love this thing for what it does. For the most part it's a pretty stable little board. It handles a pretty decent CPU for the V5's and although it only uses DDR 2100 it also uses PC133 if your in a bind. But for the games I play on it, Win 98 SE and mostly older DOS based games, it works perfect.
