BTW - I know it's not 3Dfx, but I thought I'd ask here anyhow...

My 3.41 UK Launch PS3 just went YLOD...

And just on the Day I got a new 600GB HDD...RAGE!

Has anyone found a reliable BGA reballing service in the U.K.?

Failing that - a BGA reballing service in Europe...

(and NO - I do not want to do the heat gun fix!)

Yep, this is where you need to send the board to. Give them an email, I'm certain they can help you further, reasonable prices too.

Outdated? They are one of the leading UK companies. I haven't used their service yet, but have had extensive conversations with their representatives. Very promising.

They could do multiple V6k reworks, so I'm sure they can do a PS3 rework. Probably need to take it apart yourself though. Smiley

GAH - well, I contacted them and the overall price was going to cost more than a brand new PS3... Roll Eyes

...so I turned to my old friend eBay and bought a second hand one for £80 (needs new laser). Wink

Then a replacement laser for £60 from www.chipspain.com

Nuff said! Cool
