Voodoo 4500 PCI (for PC) with DVI holes?

i got a Voodoo 4500 PCI recently, and i noticed there are the holes for the DVI connector, but it's not there. Do you think that, if there's a way to install a DVI connector on the card, it would work?

Surely it wouldn't alone.
All the circuitry need to be populate with resistors and capacitors with the right configuration; not to mention that you need the DVI tramsitter to hook up the card to the digital monitor and drive the panel correctly.

ok so unless you have a degree in electronics or something, AND know what you're doing...the only way to get DVI out of 3DFX cards are with the MAC V4500 and 5500 cards flashed for PC?

There are also some rare V3 cards with DFP connector, you can get DVI from there too, but they are rare and expensive.
Also modding a V4 4500 with DVI requires more than electronics knowledge, you need to get quite a few chips (I think a silicon image chip for DVI output, resistors, capacitors, etc), you'll also need a new BIOS. But it's doable, some people here have such modded cards.
I think that Komponent can provide you with almost everything you need to know.
