R600 was made by the East Coast team who disgned the R200 which was a failure like the R600 is now lol.

I think a R300 would do you alot better think 9500 / 9500 Pro or the better 9700 / 9700 Pro series.

videocard wise !

stopped at an 9800 pro  gone backwards a few times
waited till that vidcard wars slowed down but still waiting ( well at least there cheaper )

the games just don`t do the video card requirements justice

read reviews and more bad reviews
buggy vidcards , buggy motherboards and to top it off
boring , buggy games !

Besides the obvious downgrade in performance, these cards are no longer worth their money. For the same amount you can probably get an X300 which has better performance and it's a DX9 card (the above mentioned are DX8 ).

Hello all, i think this post is mostly spam(or all) but i love this forum and felt the need to express my opinion.

1) I'm here for the 3dfx news, idea's, photo,s, collections, history, benchmarks, ok so any and all things 3dfx.

2) i do like to hear about other things pc related but not to the point of it taking away from this being one of the last few really good 3dfx forums

3) obi-wan is obi-wan, sometimes i'm like what the hell are you doing but in the end you keep me entertained (in a good way) and i think if you were gone something wouldnt seem right around here, as with you all, we all post different things and with different frequency but i find you all important for some crazy reason

4) Ah last but not least Falconfly, thru hard work and great decisions you have made this a forum i check at least 5 days a week, youve somehow not let it dwindle at the hands of a few to a pc hardware debate forum where ppl fire back and forth at each other there opinions endlessly, you really have made and kept this a 3dfx home and for that i thank you very much.

5) Elmo, youre not a 3dfx fan, that is easy enough to see on page 4 on your home forum where someone brings up the excitement of buying a q3d board with 8 vsa's on it, your first post on the topic shows you dont even have a clue what it is to be a 3dfx fan, but thats fine, you seem to love PC's and the latest and best hardware and i can understand that, but i can read about that anywhere, thats why this place is so special this place still has the 3dfx spirit

obi-wan im not bashing him by saying hes not a fan, if anyone came here and said they got that card i think we would all be like cool because we come here for things 3dfx , or we would say nothing at all, i dont think anyone here would be saying its not as good as the latest nvidia or ati hardware, to me thats the difference of a 3dfx fan based forum and a pc fan based forum, i wish them the best there but really its become something that it wasnt at least to me but i'd never go there and try and tell them how to run it and i find it hard to believe that someone from another forum would come here and tell an admin how to run this forum, for 3dfx i think this is 1 of the 2 best in english hands down.
