Are you looking for an AthlonXP with a 266MHz FSB or are you specifically searching for a Thouroughbred 266MHz FSB?

If you're just searching for a 266MHz FSB you could also have a look at the AthlonXP-M. The latest have a Barton core but still have a 266MHz FSB.

Here in the Netherlands Thoroughbred's are sold commonly (secondhand offcourse).

What kind of performance-rating were you thinking off? 2000+, 2200+, etc?

Also, there is Thoroughbred and Thoroughbred-B, does your motherboard support both?

The B is the newer core of the two and has a bigger surface, don't know why since nothing else changed Tongue

2400+ is a T'bred-B btw.

Well, I got some good news, there are at least two shops here in the Netherlands that still sell a T'bred-B 2400+.

The first is Wintelco. Their email is info [AT] wintelco [DOT] nl

The second is Tailor-made Group. Their email is info [AT] tailor-made [DOT] nl

Perhaps you could contact them and ask if they would ship abroad? Don't worry about the language, most of us Dutchies speak English quite well and a big part is also good at German and a reasonable part kan speak French too Smiley Just contact them in English first.

Should they sell, you'll get a new one and you'll know it's good.

The shops still have the cpu's.
I visit a Dutch site everyday, they have a pricewatch where companies list their products and their prices. The processor was in that list so they have it in stock.

Very trustworthy site btw, Obi wan can confirm that.

Gee I didn't think these chips were all that had to get. I have a 2400+ that I've sort of been looking for an excuse to upgrade since my motherboard will run @ 333. I think I could get a nice bump out of a 3000+ since the FSB is 333 vs. 266 of the 2400+ and I could maybe get better frame rates for my 9800 AIW I (think) my CPU is the bottle neck.
