That looks superb, wow. Smiley

Yea I think you should remove them as well.

ps. how easy is it to take the card out of there? Looks like 4 screws you have to undo?

One thing I will ask is, do you think I should remove the internal power wires?

That is a fine looking case!

Yes, I'd pull the wires since the brick is present.

+1 Smiley

Because that was the way the card should work - no wires, but a nice, big adapter.

Thank for the input folks.  I wasn't unsure what to do about the wires as they have been with the card for so long, that they are part of it's history.  Because of that fact the wires will remain in the case, just not attached to the card. (purley for display purposes)

Here is a shot from me sitting at my desk. (badass robot fan I know, and yes the rubik's cube is a piece of cake)

...

@Tim - In total it would be 7 screws to get the card out. (4 on the base (2 on each side), 3 holding the card in place, which is done with 3 mobo standoffs.

...

...

For those who are curious about the dimensions or anything like that, here is the quick sketch I sent to the custom acrylic company.  (who did an excellent job creating what I envisioned)  This was a great $200 investment.

...

Lastly, for that open area to the left of the plaque, I think I will be getting a decal made to read something like this:  Cool

Wow $200 hehe, not too bad for a custom design I guess.

Hmm, I suppose because you have now got two, you can keep one on display and one to play with ey? So it doesn't really matter how easy it is to take apart.

Ps. Instead of red washers, you could use some slightly translucent ones if you wish to do so.

Yeah, kinda spendy but well worth it.  This company said their glue joints would be approx 95% bubble free, and all edges would be flame polished.  Very high quality build and with 1/2 acrylic on the "t-base".  Nothing but the best for my V6K. Smiley  Minnesota built, about 45 minutes away from my house.

This one will definately mostly be for display, the one that will arrive tomorrow will be my play horse.  Prior to putting this V6K away I played with it for a few hours, knowing that I might not fire it up again for a few years.

The clear washers are a great idea.  Next time I have her out I will definately upgrade those to some clear nylon washers. (I might even have a few left over from when I fixed my friends xbox360 that had the infamous RROD)

The V6K arrived today from Edmund's eBay auction.    Grin Grin Grin
... ...

First thing I did was stick it in my V6K rig and fire it up... half a decade later and SHE'S ALIVE!!!  Tested and stable at 2x/4x/8x AA levels.  [still looping UT99 intro @ 4x AA going on for about 30 minutes]
...

Edmund also provided a support bracket/handle that has been with the card nearly it's entire life.  That teamed up with a backplate from a V5 5500 AGP, this thing is now ready to be enjoyed even more. Smiley
... ...

Bonus shot.  Perfectly alligned aavid fans. Smiley

I think it's ~12,5" so that's 31.75cm, or 317mm.
