Smiley No problemo.  You were already headed in the right direction.  I just gave a couple tweaks.  Smiley

The cable looks perfect.  Well done!    Smiley

Well... the PSU boots the system and everything appears to be running fine, it detects the post sensor board (v3), and two Quantum3d AA5 PCI in the device manager.  However, only the top AA5 board has a green light on (the others flash red/orange when I turn the system on), I am not sure if the bottom one is working or not... someone is going to have to tell me what I might be doing wrong.  Anyways, I plug the vga cable into the top AA5 board and it works just fine... I do not appear to be getting video through the dvi/post sensor board.

Any tips for getting this running right would be greatly appreciated.  A step by step check or howto would be amazing. Thanks in advance! Smiley

Green on the top AA5 is normal. ( I never paid attention to the other one flashing red/orange on power up ) I'll need to check that..

You won't get video on the SPP card without drivers and the demos that support it.

It looks like everything is functioning correctly but I'm confused.. I thought you picked up a 8464 but the video shows a 8432.. Do you have memory chip on both sides of both AA5 cards?

Ah ok, late last night I read through the AA5 Manual and see that the single green light is "3D Output LED".  I also learned some other nifty things: [http://www.quantum3d.com/support/aalchemy/AATXUsersManual.pdf]

Looking into what you said it appears I was wrong when I identified my AA5 card(s).  My cards only have memory on one side of each board.  Thank you for clairifying that, it is indeed a 8432DB.  That just means that I will have to try and pick up a 8464DB next time one comes around.

A few pics from the other night I forgot I took...

For those who are still wondering, I stumbled upon the powresupply at a pc recycling website. (took me atleast several hours of digging)

Ok, I search all of the V6k forum and cannot find what to do about the drivers. I know that the standard AA5 drivers do not come with glide2, and needs some modified opengl32 dlls. My question is, where do I get all of these files needed. If someone could compile the modified files for Win2k SP4 it would be greatly appreicated. Maybe rar them up and upload them somewhere.

As per Sniper in a post on the V6k forum I found this, but I can't really do much with it..

"Copied to all games the renamed opengl32.dll, glide2x and glide3xb.dll to several folders in the games, renamed the glide3xb.dll to glide3x.dll in a secound turn, but have no success with all the games."

This page of the pictures thread covers most of the info you are looking for.  Keep in mind that according to Gary, a dual card setup won't run most games if you end up using the wickedGL mini driver.  I have two single boards, but I haven't found the sli connector to hook them both up to do any tinkering.

Welp, I am going to be having a custom acrylic case built for my V6K, so far I just had the plaque made.  Now it's just a matter of finding an acrylic shop to do some custom work to fit my V6k and VV nicely.  Then I can finally put it out on display. Smiley  I will update this thread again when I get it finished... might be awhile

Well, they are gone, and I will never forget them.  I guess I would rather use something that means more to me, than use their slogan.  I am not trying to sell anything, I am merely creating a place for my V6K to be displayed and appreciated.

When/if Chevrolet ever goes under, do you think they are going to use "Like a Rock"?  I don't think so.   Tongue

Hahaha!  Chevy could use the slogan, "Like a Rock," because they sunk like a rock in the auto market.  The former #1 automaker in the world goes into bankruptcy protection & to taking government bailouts to be able to survive.   Roll Eyes

Also, I will see what I can do to help you on your V5 6000 display case.  I'll send you a message soon.

My acrylic case arrived today and I got everything mounted up and screwed together.  Smiley  I still have some work to do, and some things to add, but its a good start.  For the rear I will be placing another black acrylic piece to cover up the tape from the other one.  Any suggestions or comments are welcome as always.  Cool

One thing I will ask is, do you think I should remove the internal power wires?
