I still use a Thermaltake cooler in my current Athlon 64 X2 gaming rig...

...nowt wrong with them - unless you're intending to overclock...then you'd need something beefier...

Thanks AzzKickr! By the sound of it you have an awesome rig brewing... cant wait to hear/see that thing is in action! Smiley  You have some mean combos tied together.  Cool

Update: The black floppy/ide cables are in, next fan shrouds/brackets, which are being to be a b!tch to find... help finding some would be ok with me Wink (and some more cable management)

Dont get me wrong - I didnt say that Thermaltake coolers suck in general - I just said that TT Vulcano 11 sucks Smiley TT Vulcano 7 is, for example, a much better choice. Or big typhoon. Or even Silent tower (which i still use) or sonic tower.  Cool

Looks like that will deliver some good airflow. I would suggest adding a side fan to deliver fresh air to the Hint chip and surrounding components.

What do you mean with fan shroud/bracket? Smiley

Yeah, it came with a fan on the window, but I took it off because it was a pain in the butt to plug/unplug when I take the side off, oh well... still thinking of a solution to that.

By should/bracket I mean the things that hold the fans.  They are a mix of bluish/green or purple, I want them black.  I am most likely just going to have to whip out some spray paint, as I cannot find them for purchase anywhere. Smiley

Yea I would spray em. Yea they can be annoying. I've got a Thermaltake Tsunami, and it's exactly the same story. It doesn't get opened very often mind. It's on a molex to 3pin fan connector, so taking it off the molex adaptor isn't too much of a hassle but still annoying.

Hi

Nice shiny cool set of you rottentreats and gongratulation for me also for your card....  Cool

Could you tell, what CPU temperature you have in 3200 idle and stress ?

In my machine here,(XP 3200+, RAID 0) idle is 50 in Celsius with Zalman CNPS7000B-Cu LED Blue.

...

In your case there is a plenty of room, so I suggest that you try to set those cables in better way, because it truly makes a lot of difference.

By the way, looking at your picture it seems that V56K is a little bit bend... (perhaps my old eyes makes a trick..)

Anyway... Awesome set and it would be nice to hear how Thermaltake
handle the CPU temperature in your system...

@Kokohemmo - Thanks for the compliment!! Your system also looks amazing.  I will try and tidy up my cables a bit more as you suggested.  I will fire up my V6K rig today and get some temps for you also.  Until then, please see below to my new addition! Smiley

Just recieved another special little package in the mail today.  A 8464DB [with Post Sensor Processor and Power Board]

Take into consideration that these temperatures are in an non-air conditioned enviroment.

Idle = 51°C [browsing the web for 15 minutes]
Load = 54°C [looping UT99 Intro @ 4xAA for 30 minutes]

To get these temperatures I did the [task] and then rebooted quickly (via reset button in ~3 seconds) to see the results in the Magic Health area.  With that being said we can all assume that the temperature is probably 1-3°C higher when the task was actually in progress.

...

No PSU for the AAlchemy setup yet... might be waiting for the Homemade PSU progject to make more progress.  If anything it will be something great just to have with my V6K Smiley

To clear up any thoughts that she might be a bit bent, this is completely untrue.  Straight as an arrow. Smiley

Hi

Thanks for that test. It seems, that XP 3200+ "normal" temp is in 50-56 in celsius.

Yes, in your picture, she is straight as a tree... Fault was in my eyes, as I was thought before... Roll Eyes

In my case, because it is Antec Sonata, I have only one 120mm fan (Revoltec blue 20db)
in back, and it handles all the case air flow. Sure the PSU fan also remove some hot air also.

In my set, I try to get cpu and system heat down as mininium numbers of fans as possible,
so the noise issue is also in my target.

(I have the Noise Absorber kit, and usually using noise pads increased temperature a little bit, BUT it is... silent  Cool)

Now when I had your test results of your XP 3200+  temperature,
I know my system have no problems in heat issue... Wink

No problemo Kokohemmo, glad to hear my 3200+ is also running "normal". (I have two of these CPU's, and they both run that same temperature)

You were correct to think my V6K was a bit bent, looking at one of the other pictures I took it appears to be, might have been the camera or the way the card was placed... oh well. Smiley

I can understand how you want a silent machine, sure is nice not to hear a tornado coming from the rig.  I would too but I usually have my music or the game cranked up high. Smiley  Maybe someday I will try a Noise Absorber kit also, sounds like it might be nice. (pun intended)

Well, first time i saw the pictures i think also that the V6K is a bit bent, but looking at at the chieftech case too ( picture bottom ), you see that this is also bent.
So, that it must have been the camera position...

Btw. nice setup's my frindes !!!
